The Big Band Show

An image from The Big Band Show In this feel-good Big Band Show, audiences will be getting in the mood and swinging along to songs from Glenn Miller, Sinatra, Basie, Ella Fitzgerald and more.
The Big Band Show is in great demand having performed on BBC TV's Children in Need, Dame Vera Lynn's Charity Ball and at the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom.
This talented and classy ensemble include amongst others, Simone from the Ivy Benson Orchestra, Michael Innes - Shirley Bassey's Trombonist and Musical Director for a Song for Europe plus Chris Smith (Jnr) a composer and arranger for the BBC Radio Big Band, and keeping the legend alive, the Herb Miller Big Band.

Wednesday Afternoons - term time, 1.15pm to 2.45pm, at The Fairfield Centre.
Beginners Ballroom Dancing Classes at 1.15pm for 1 hour. Improvers join the class at 1.45 and stay until 2.45pm
£4 for one hour or £5 for 90 mins.
Singles welcome. The Centre is aimed at over 60s but anyone wanting to take part can come along.

East Coast Swing/Jitterbug Dance Classes
Every Wednesday, 8.00pm til 10.30pm
If you are wild about the 1940's and 50's, interested in dancing with a partner or just looking for a joyful way to keep fit, we extend a warm invitation for you to come along and give Jitterbug a try....
Our beginner's lessons are taught as 10 week courses at Biggin Hill (and Sevenoaks.)
We have found this to be a most effective way of teaching, offering thorough instruction and systematically building up confidence.

9-10pm Improvers Class
