Bald Statments Exhibition
Saturday 3rd - Thursday 29th July 2010, 10.00am-6.00pm
Epsom-based mental health charity, Love Me Love My Mind, is holding a striking and powerful exhibition called Bald Statements in July.
The exhibition, by sculptor Jean Parker, features eight alabaster sculptures illustrating feelings of grief and loss. It will take place in the peaceful and reflective atmosphere of St Barnabas Church.
Bald Statements was born as a reflection of Jean Parker’s own experience of cancer, and presents a powerful and unique visual exploration of the grief process.
The stages the exhibition illustrates are:
1. Denial,
2. Disbelief,
3. Questioning,
4. Anger,
5. Depression,
6. Acceptance,
7. Healing and
8. Peace.

Brooklands Museum School Holiday Family Activities
Throughout August 2010, 10.00am - 5.00pm
On weekdays in August our popular car rides on the original Brooklands race track will be operating (subject to weather)and Cobham Bus Museum will be providing bus rides on their double decker red London buses.
There will be guest appearances from Bertie the Brooklands Bear and trails for young children.
In wet weather there will be indoor craft activities.
Open daily from 10am to 5pm. Last admission is one hour before closing. No dogs or pets are admitted except assistance dogs. Children aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Every day in August, children go free on Concorde!

Marlings Morris Ladies North West Clog Dancing
Mondays, 8.00pm - 10.00pm at Godstone Baptist Church Hall.
We are an all female North West Clog dancing side who dance traditional dances for fun and to keep the practice alive.
We dance to a live band of ladies and gents. All ages are welcome but it is quite energetic at times.
