In these difficult days of recession and credit crunch most of us want to save money, and a good way to do it is to buy at car boot fairs, jumble sales, charity sales and local markets.
There are plenty of them taking place throughout Surrey during the season, and it helps local traders and producers, and people who just want to turn some unwanted possessions into cash.

A Fun Day Out

There are bargains to be had and big discounts on locally produced goods from farmers, local businesses, craft makers and traders.
It's also great fun just browsing. You can even furnish your home with anything from knick-knacks to furniture.
If you are a collector, you can find new treasures among the collectables at boot sales, jumble sales, flea markets, and antiques and collectors fairs.
You can pick up cheap tools and equipment for your hobby or pastime, get nearly new sports kit at a fraction of retail prices, find bargains in books, toys, CDs, DVDs, games, etc.

Make Some Money Selling

For sellers, with junk, antiques, homemade crafts, or just unwanted items such as adult's, children's or baby clothing, bric-a-brac, books, toys, music, games, sports equipment, tools, etc, there are many regular weekly and monthly car boot sales taking place throughout Surrey, sometimes nearly all year round.
For a few pounds you can load up the car, just turn up, get a pitch, lay out your wares on an old wallpaper pasting table or the like, spend a few hours in good-natured haggling with the punters, and come home with a nice bit of extra cash in your pocket. A great way to spend a sunny Sunday or Saturday morning.
